Real Power Now aims to create awareness around the important role reliable electricity plays in our lives, the emerging threats to reliable electricity and strategies/plans that can help ensure reliable electricity is available into the future. The initiative is led by Minnkota Power Cooperative, an electric generation and transmission cooperative based in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

To ensure reliability, Minnkota Power Cooperative maintains a diverse set of coal, wind and hydro power resources. To deliver electricity, Minnkota Power Cooperative operates and maintains approximately 3,385 miles of high-voltage transmission lines and 260 electrical substations to serve its area cooperatives in eastern North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.
